Tennis Europe Winter Cups

Launched in 1977, the Tennis Europe Winter Cups has evolved into the sport's premier indoor junior team tennis competition. Traditionally played in both the 14 and 16 & Under age categories, the event is open to teams nominated by European national federations and provides an invaluable opportunity to play in team conditions during the winter months. 2022 will see the tenth edition of the event's newest 12 & Under age category.

The event is played in two stages. During the qualifying stage, teams travel to compete in one of four qualifying groups, each of which hosts up to eight nations. The winner and runner-up from each qualifying zone proceed to the final rounds a fortnight later.

2022 Tennis Europe Winter Cups

Update 22.12.2021 Following consultation with member nations, Tennis Europe regrets to announce the cancellation of the 2022 Winter Cups.

208 national teams of players aged 12, 14 and 16 & under were due to compete in Europe’s largest indoor team tennis event in January and February, across 26 qualifying and final round venues. A significant worsening of the epidemiological situation across the region, plus increased and constantly changing COVID-19 travel restrictions and access issues have made the event unfeasible for a second consecutive year.

Tennis Europe thanks all organisers, national federations, players and coaches for their understanding and looks forward to staging the competition in 2023.
